My artistic work encompasses text, photography and moving image, whereby I particularly reflect on the specific qualities of each medium and examine the relationship between them. My work deals with aspects of narrative, perception and duration, as well as themes of proximity and rapprochement. I use methods of repetition, sequencing and ordering. With the help of the above-mentioned media, I try to approach the object/subject that is in front of me (in thought or in reality), knowing that it can never be grasped in its entirety, is always shifting and changing. That subtle quality of not being able to represent something completely, which is mixed with the desire to visualise something as precisely as possible, is what interests me. How can I make use of the failure that is inscribed in every medium in its own individual way? Can I understand something better if I photograph it again and again? Can I get closer to a subject if I describe it again and again? What disappears, what comes into focus? What does precision mean?
