solo: disassembling - assembling invites you to a happening that is at the same time a magazine release, an exhibition and a nonperformance. George Brecht’s score "Flute Solo: disassembling - assembling" is interpreted by Fanti Baum, Jacob Bussmann, Frédéric De Carlo and Jana Mila Lippitz not only as a call to deconstruct musical instruments. They also take this score as a starting point to think about the preconditions of performances and non-performances or how to disappear from the stage without a trace. Notions, materials and all things that fall out of George Brecht's Water Yam Box (1963) are again and again provisionally assembled and disassembled – together with a "group of people busy with anything except expecting [a] play –:" (Tomas Schmit, 1964).
